Editorial Policy

SmartMoney publishes people-first Nigerian money education. Articles should answer a real decision question, explain the mechanism, include a worked example, discuss risks and limitations, provide a verification checklist and link to primary sources where available.

Authors and reviewers are identified on article pages. SmartMoney organisational desks describe their scope honestly and are not presented as licensed investment advisers. Contributor articles are not attributed to an invited contributor until that person has verified the account and the content has passed editorial review.

Sponsored relationships must be disclosed and do not purchase a favourable editorial conclusion, source rating, StockLab risk score or SmartCompare ranking. We do not copy third-party articles. Short factual references may be summarised with source links; original explanation and analysis must add independent value.

Time-sensitive claims require a date. Material corrections are recorded rather than silently erased. Educational content should never promise guaranteed returns or imply that a regulator's existence makes an investment suitable for every user.
